A Personal Mission

“To bring truth, goodness, and beauty to the world through love, experimentation, and creation.”

Laura has held this personal mission over many years. It is not a product slogan. It is the thread that connects how she lives, facilitates, experiments and creates.

01

Why TeamWeaver

Bringing facilitation wisdom into the work as it happens

In professional facilitation, Laura repeatedly saw how a well-held process could help people stay with a real challenge, hear what had not yet been heard and find direction together.

She began asking whether some of that wisdom could live in a tangible tool. TeamWeaver grew from the hope that people could create room for dialogue and work with difference, even when a professional facilitator is not in the room.

02

Experimentation & Creation

Shaped through observation, testing and learning

TeamWeaver developed through Laura’s ongoing observation of real work: how teams speak, where dialogue becomes stuck, what helps people notice their own patterns, and what makes a next step possible.

Research, trials and learning informed each iteration. The cards and Align Map turn that continuing inquiry into something people can place on the table and use together.

Professional Foundations

Experience supports the work without becoming the whole story

Laura Hsu is Chairperson and Co-founder of Open Quest. She became Asia’s first IAF Certified Professional Facilitator in 2002 and is now an IAF Certified Professional Facilitator | Master (CPF | M). In 2024, the IAF inducted her into its Hall of Fame.

Her professional foundations also include service as an IAF CPF assessor and certification with ICA’s Technology of Participation as a facilitator, trainer and assessor. Her practice spans facilitation, organization development and leadership capacity building.

Looking Forward

More teams able to meet real challenges with facilitation in their own hands

Laura hopes TeamWeaver can help teams create the conditions for honest dialogue, remain curious in the presence of tension, and form a way forward together. The work will continue to learn from practice and evolve through use.
